Industry Snapshot:

Valves are important capital equipment components of many industries. Typically they account for between 5 and 10 percent of capital spending in most end?use sectors. Process industries, the largest end?use base, can be segmented into three categories: process manufacturers (chemicals, petroleum refining, food and beverages, pulp and paper, and other related industries); resource industries (crude petroleum and natural gas production, and mining); and public utilities (electric, gas, cogeneration, water, sewage and sanitation). Other important end users include construction and marine industries.

Product Trends:

The type of valve used for a given application is determined by a number of factors. They include the nature and composition of the media that are flowing (e.g., pressure, viscosity, corrosiveness), the degree of acceptable resistance to flow, frequency of valve use, the scale of the operation, precision of control required, safety, and acceptable leakage rates. Valves are critical to the processing efficiencies of the user. Moreover, valves are a common source of fugitive emissions, about 80 percent of which result from leakage around valve stems. Given both cost pressures and stringent federal, state and local emissions regulations and tightening safety standards, therefore, valve design is increasingly important to U.S. industry.

Standard Valve Types:

These types (i.e., hand operated) will continue to dominate valve sales and their market share will increase, in spite of increasing automation and modernization of U.S. industry and improved reliability of automatic valves. Standard valves' dominant position can largely be attributed to price advantage and versatility. They typically cost much less than automatic valves. Standard valves also are frequently interchangeable, so they simplify process design and inventories. Moreover, per?valve cost savings are multiplied by the vast number (e.g., 1,000 or better) of valves required in many process manufacturing plants and utility operations. Improvements in standard valve performance also will buoy their volume and check growth of automatic products. More standard valves are leak?free, appealing to the fugitive emissions and safety concerns of many end users. Increasingly precise flow modulation (i.e., any rate of flow between fully on and fully off) is available, along with advanced machining and materials. In addition, standard valves, particularly quarter?turn, or rotary?shaft, valves are easily convertible to automatic actuation with the use of a separately sold automatic actuator. Finally, standard valves offer additional advantages in ease of maintenance, light weight and low price.

Country of Origin/Manufacture

Eii lays extremely important attention to its raw material sourcing. All incoming raw materials pass through a stringent inspection and testing phase to ensure compliance to Eii's strict specifications and standards. These Eii standards and specification are written to be generally over and above industry standards and based on years of experience with different steels from different parts of the world. Forging and bar stock raw materials are sourced from Western Europe, South Korea and U.S.A. Castings are sourced from China, Mexico and U.S.A. All manufacturing, assembly, testing is performed in Houston, Texas at Eii facility. 100% of valves produced at Eii Houston facility are hydro tested.

Experience

Eii has sold thousands of valves to major IOC's for projects around the world including Exxon Mobil, Petronas, Petroleos Mexicanos in the past several years. A current reference list is available upon request.

Profile:

Eii Valve Company, formally also known as Enkay Industries Inc. was established in 1995 as a valve manufacturing and service company with the ability to provide full valve service and modification. In 2005, Eii started actively selling its product to Exxon Mobil for offshore application in ASME Cl.900 and Cl. 1500. In 2007, upon customer's demand, Eii successfully designed a 1 piece seal welded threaded ball valve in size 1?2" thru 2" in WOG Class 2000PSI, 3000PSI, 6000PSI and 9000PSI. By this time, EII was well known for its quick delivery and customized product line. In 2010, Eii successfully ventured into a unique design for a double isolation bleed ball valve. This revolutionary design would allow the customer improved sealing confidence and the cavity between the two independent pressure barriers can be bled and monitored to allow downstream piping maintenance without removing the valve from the line. US Patent for this product is pending. Eii has built the business through consistently manufacturing high quality products. This is achieved through strict compliance to our Quality Management System, Sourcing of raw material and strict testing standards. All sizes, pressure classes, and metallurgical compositions are managed in?house utilizing the strictest quality control measures to meet or exceed our customer requirements.

Eii Valve Company takes exceptional levels of pride in our ability to manufacture both commodity and specialty valves that are 100% in compliance with customer specifications. All Eii prototypes must undergo stringent qualification testing to meet API 607 (Fire Safe), Shell SPE 77/312 (Fugitive Emission) and Endurance testing. Eii Valves are designed to meet production testing requirements of API 6D, ASME B16.34, API 598 and European PED. With over 100 years of combined experience on staff at Eii Valve Company, we provide complete dedication and commitment to quality. Eii guarantees all its products for 18 month in?country warranty. That means that upon an issue with a valve while in service, Eii will be responsible for transportation and repair/replacement of the valve for 18 months from date of installation or date of sale, whichever comes first. This is the best warranty in the Valve Industry and reflects confidence and strength of our product knowledge.

Eii Valve Company is fiscally strong Texas Corporation. Management takes keen interest in day to day working of the company and ensures fiscal governance and ethical reporting.
